NFJP is an employment and training program specifically for migrant and seasonal farmworkers and their dependents. The program assists eligible participants with training, supportive services, barrier elimination, and job placement services for gainful employment in and out of agriculture industries.
NFJP provides training opportunities in a number of occupations throughout the eleven Arizona counties, where the program is offered. NFJP services are designed to assist farmworkers in up-grading skills/positions within agricultural or acquire education and training needed to retain employment outside of agriculture, at no cost to our qualified participant.
Our Workforce Development Specialists (WDS) work diligently with you from the beginning at enrollment, until you complete the program and enter through our follow-up phase after exit (up to a year). During your time in the program, our staff will assess your skills and barriers, help develop your own Individual Employment Plan (IEP), navigate training and certification options, have you participant in our Job Readiness Training, then once ready, help with resume development and job search assistance.
To ensure the success of our participants, we offer support services to help alleviate barriers. These services can include emergency services such as rent, mortgage, and utility assistance, transportation assistance to get to and from trainings, childcare assistance, clothing or uniform assistance for job placements or a job interview, and so much more!
The National Farmworker Jobs Program (NFJP) understands the importance of not just finding qualified candidates but retaining existing ones. Not only do we help our qualified candidates, but we also work with employers, both in and outside of agriculture. We work with both the employer and the eligible participant to determine job positions, skills needed to do that job, and what gaps the eligible participant needs training in to attain that specific job position.
To make the most for both the employer and eligible employee, we offer access to qualified, pre-screened applicants, salary reimbursements for One-the Job Training, Customized Training, and Work Experience contracts, free work support for new workers referred by PPEP, and post-employment support for employer and employee.
